Night For Contest Sapphic Stanza

NIGHT

Blue hour, slip away to bless me with love’s languid throbbing touch--

Relinquish quickly dusk our celebration ‘neath night's blackest joys--

Hide sweet beneath this gown my stolen lover’s hungry hands--

Til shame rises with the dawn.

It is always a pleasure to have a reader choose a line that is also MY favorite. I agonized over it...but let it stand. Thanks for reading, but most of all, thank you for taking the time to comment.
