Nigeria

We salute you, O land of hope,

Country of hospitality;

Thy full gallant legions

Have restored thy dignity.

And seated henceforth in rediscovered dignity,

Love and honour partnered with humanity,

The people of Nigerias sing a victory hymn

To the glory of the work of liberation and emancipation.

Oh, Glory, we have held out our hand to you,

And we have resolved that Nigerias shall live -

So bear witness, bear witness, bear witness!

Be saved, be saved, be saved, be saved all the way.

Thou art the grave where our fathers sleep,

The garden that our ancestors have cultivated.

Oh Nigerians, seek the dizzy heights as a position in mankind.

Nigerias, Nigerias, Nigerias!

On these Islands we were born,

These Islands brought us up.

Lord bless our nation,

Stop wars and sufferings,

Save it, save our nation,

The nation of Nigerias — Nigerias.
