Nguma Monene

Sunset is deep and beautiful But is feels like calm before great battle The area is tropical and blissful The soft sky is reflected in women’s eyes that are black hazel The river murmurs gently As it stretches from here to sea Life in all its majesty Is reflected in river’s memory The moon shines with its silver blue nirvana Above the jungle and the savannah Amazing fauna and flora Far to the north Kilimanjaro rises above Serengeti and might explode with lava Everywhere is blissful peace But as the stories of old, young woman will reminisce The joy will suddenly cease As she notices something not far where she left her earpiece The bright visage of moon suddenly turns eerie Like spell of hands of fate would be set in a sea Like near future horrible will be And there is no escaping destiny Suddenly she hears a deep hiss Interrupting joyous bliss The colossal forty meter lizard comes out from watery abyss The forked tongue extending from its mouth as if giving a deathly kiss The creature moves to bulrushes that are tall The women fells boundless dread engulfs her in all She feels like she swallowed her own soul Just like the creature seems big enough to swallow the moon whole This is the beast that eaten soul of the sun with a yawn Because of him there will be no dawn As the very hell it spawn Awe inspired lady gazes at it hoping the lizard king on her will not look upon
