A spectacle of wonder
Live on channel four
Raucous reporters flailing
Beneath whistling knifes
Glued eyes anesthetized
By potential loss of life
Ratings rapidly rising
Above muted horizontal rain
Complacency collapsing beneath
Just another hurricane
Clothed carcasses floating
Down raging river roadways
My God was that my neighbor
With whom my daughter plays
Excuses evacuated
As a tragedy tunes in
Nature doesn’t play politics
But it will kill your kin
