The deafening beat of a centipede's feet
as he goes strolling down the street
is the jangled fate of a snail who skates
and slowly, silently reverberates.

Thanks, Daniel! I didn't think about Lilliput until it was time to slap a title on this, but reading your poems, I have to wonder if you've ever read Jonathan Swift. I think my initial exposure to Lilliput was the 1930s Gulliver's Travels cartoon, but I eventually read the original Jonathan Swift. I remember liking it.
