Newfound Feet

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.
Habakkuk 3:19 NIV

The Lord is my strength
For who has the authority
To separate man from beast.
Flesh seperated through spirit
Out of the pits of the lions mouth
The Lord snatches one out
He lights the way with a guided path
These newfound feet in rhythm
From the new tunes of leading
Confusion unto the beast
That thought He had His prey.
What has become of this one
These feet that soars with the wind
We must stop Him before He
Tells another of this escape.
In the Lord one shall find rest
All the pants of life become clear
Streams of living water within
No longer having to search alone
Protection from the beast
For it's left chasing it's tail in circles
Of the one that got away

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.
Psalms 42:1 NIV

Reading your poem I am reminded of another verse from the book of psalms--- "Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. · He makes me to lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside the still waters." · I love that quote and I recite it many times a day. Beautiful poem dear Stephan.

Hi Stephan, The scriptures you choose work so well with the poems you write. Reading your well-written verse caused me to think of Ps 37. Thanks for being a beacon of light in our poetry community. Have a good weekend my friend-Alexis

All glory to God, amen, it's after the ones to expose, keep Christ out in front to give Him all the glory, myself would be chewed up : )
