Pressing toward the high calling of Christ*
I’m resolved to do my best, grace-sufficed…
First, to love the Lord by His gracious might
while in His Word, will, work and ways delight…
Second, I should be more prayerful
with increasing faith as God’s steward, fruitful…
Third, my soul must practice prudent mindfulness’ moments
midst varied multi-tasking role-involvements…
Fourth, to continue in working partnership
around the Master's fellowship midst praise-filled worship...
Fifth, with the Holy Spirit's guidance and compassion glow
may divine virtues of kindness and charity I can show...
Sixth, I persist daily, all by the mercy of the Almighty
to be a blessing to others, marked by cheerful serenity…
Seventh, cleaving to the Father, I must stay blissfully blest
conscientiously fulfilling list along healthy zest.
*Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
