New Tattoo

A little cottage on a bluff
Looking out to sea
Waiting for my bluebird
To come swooping down for me
The troubador is lonely
Without his only friend
He'll wait until the sands of time
Reach their very end

And should the hourglass empty
Should no more time remain
It wasn't all for vanity
No love can be in vain
It started with a dream
Two people in a park
Who grew to love each other
And stayed there in the dark
