I run my fingers down his cheeks,
then hold his wrists, one in each hand.
Profound, deep love within me speaks...
emotions overtake command.
I take his hands within my own...
his fingers bend and tightly grasp
with tenderness for me alone;
in wonderment of joy, I gasp.
His splendid thighs, so soft but firm
delight my senses to caress,
down past his knees to feet affirm
his perfectness of form is blessed.
But flawless toes I now behold...
a miracle beyond compare.
My baby boy, just born, I hold;
newfound maternal love, declare.
