New Life Gives Hope

So tiny with delicate features Bald on top like an older man with a ring of dark hair on the sides and back Long thin fingers which are very cold even turned blue There lies a surgeon or psychiatrist Not a bomber pilot Maybe a modern farmer who feeds humanity Within this child I see hope Where at times I don't feel that there is any Left in this world of lost causes Hope for a world filled with love A world with tolerance, understanding A world so different from what is in the here and now

Your descriptive lines are so good. Most of view the newborn as innocent and pure. Untainted by lifes ups and downs and where hope springe eternal. Excellent piece.

Sara thank you for stopping by to read Quiet Little Child and for your comment. My daughter and her husband brought Brandon over to day so they could go see a movie, I had not seen in in over a week, boy did i ever miss him and it was good to see him again. i see him more than my wife does, he is gone sometimes by the time she gets home, so it had been longer for her.

Oh yes Sara, what one hopes for, to come from, to fulfill...is just that..hope want and what is very much disappearing....a productive soul. A great write here dear poet...you have now made thought overwhelming, seeing that Noah is seven, and , what seems like, forever, to wait for positive results from Gods guidance ! Have a blessed one my friend ! much love, james

I see you did indeed finish the poem Sara! The last two stanzas are the best wishes a grandma can give grand child, and i was so close with my grand ma hence if there is one thing i know to be true, is that your wishes for this child will be true. unbeknown to you, you do indeed posses so much power and influence in a grand child, and it fills my heart with pride to see that from your heart springs forth only the best wishes. >Thank you and do have a propitious Easter holiday!

Greatly enjoy this write, Sara! Love how you've mused on this infant.."Maybe a modern farmer...a surgeon or psychiatriast". It all culminates in the last verse!:) Thanks for your comment..romance IS wonderful, but my last boyfriend was a romantic gigolo. Sometimes not easy to hit the happy medium.:) I think you're blessed, Sara!! Best to you, Mikki

Came back to find your poem not only completed, but containing a special message, Sara. We always look at babies and imagine their futures. They are our best "hope" for the restoration of peace and humanity. Excellent poem! Love, Carolyn

Yes, it's the common man who is hope of the world - the EDUCATED common man. But, what kind of education is the common man getting? Check the music, the violence, the dress, manners. I could go on and on. Thanks for a wake up poem, Sara. Love, Dave

Sara, causes are sort of like selling. You have to make 5 contacts to make 1 sale. Sure we have a lot of causes lost, but look what a difference the successful ones make. One thing never changes a new babe is hope for everyone. Good poem. Thanks for all your continued support of my work. Charles

Mhmm, quite a funny one u've pulled Sara! Well, let me have a go.>> So tiny with delicate features, Yet another being at the beginning of living, I wonder what it will be, A life of goals, hard work and accomplishments, A life of selflessness and service, A life of benefit to the suffering, A life of conceit and egoism, Or a life just 4 the sake of living... Whatever it will be, I am sure it will be another scratch on the plaque of eternity... 2 the Superior Powers b the glory for this new life!
