New Job

This stairway goes to nowhere up high,
Not even in a straight line,
It sort of just curls right back to itself,
A weird sort of vortex design,

And every day I walk up these stairs,
I look for the fresh, bright and new,
But when I arrive and open the door,
All I see is the same boring view,

This stairway of life seems to take me nowhere,
Same steps on repeat all day long,
Ending at the point where I started the day,
Maybe that’s where I go wrong,

Maybe I should begin not at the end,
Maybe I need to get smart,
Maybe my first step is a brand new staircase,
With a control alt delete and restart.
