New Feathers, New Flight

Growing new feathers
stiff bones and frond wisps
Plumes iridescent
Flaming bronze and gold
to snatch ripe currents

Blown on the wind
me and these wings
full of new hope
and soft landings

Take the sky
Test your wings
Fly with me

We'll soar
alive!
