New Family Protocol
I was lying on the ground, in my camo coverall,
Looking all small, chubby sure, but definitely not tall,
When I noticed the beautiful rainbow-like waterfall,
And could not help but wonder at familial protocol.
What would do my mischievous cousin ornery Paul?
Would he dance and sing in this gorgeous blue waterfall?
Family dynamics being delicately what they are and all,
So to honor my relatives, I danced and sang in the waterfall,
So now, of course, this is a new family protocol
Regardless of the protests of my Uncle Saul.
So now here I lie, soaking wet, uncomfortable, in my coverall,
Wishing I would have used a bit of restraint after all.
