Anoucheka Gangabissoon Poet Acrostic

New Beginnings

New is the year, fresh is its fragrance, filling my heart with
Eagerness, to walk upon the paths it has set out for me
While making sure that I shall take the time to enjoy its views

Bursting with opportunities, to make good use of my abilities,
Especially when it comes to helping a world, struck with a
Gripping disease, which shall leave it not anytime soon, as,
Inspired it is, by its own destructive capacity, but, I,
Nevertheless, can only focus on the positive rays,
Nobly shining forth from the sun, seeking to have me
Imbibed with more poetic art, as to share it with those feeling
Nagged by the dark shadows weighing upon their shoulders,
Gregariously sucking in their spiritual energy and making of them
Slaves, in a world, boldly shouting out that we need to live and love!
