Written by my blushing bride of 18 years
She is so sweet, but she'll say, "I'm not as sweet as I used to be!"
New Beginnings
Years ago I couldn't see
The love of my life searching for me
I merely existed and tried to survive
Devoted to my kids and staying alive
Each day was a struggle full of lies hate and pain
All of my hard work taken in vain
At last from my prison, I broke free
Like a bird from a cage I was able to flee
It wasn't easy, I was lost and alone
No real direction, no stepping stones
But I saw the light when you entered my life
I gave you my heart and you made me your wife
Our hearts beat as one as we share every day
Living and loving our own special way
