New

What is time?
For only a movement of earth,
Which cannot silence
such connection
Changing the heart
of the fighter, more soft
Not a new life,
but a new perspective
When warmth takes refuge
behind newborn snow,
An ember off the end
of the divine cigarette
Drifts toward the space
between them
Now a steady glow
may throb between two souls,
Presenting itself
as love
With the rise and fall
of our breathing nature
How are we expected
to be ready to leave?
