Nevermore
“We loved with a love that was more than love.”
Yet carefully we acted
Extra carefully
Between me and you
Between ourselves
Nobody trusted the other
Our love loved with bigger eyes
The windows were left open
Even in the winterly nights
There was always an escape plan
Which none of us told the other
In open we loved
In secret we endured
A love that couldn't cure
