Never Will Be
Traveled the world
Tasted bright lights
Toasted all those towns
On those far away nights
The price for the show
How things had to be
The crowds grew large
And so did the lonely
Thinking of you
Dreaming of home
Glory feels empty
When you are alone
But I couldn’t quit
Addicted to fame
Blinded by pride
Couldn’t feel your pain
The sun always rose
And hid the dark nights
I got lost in the music
Forgot long-distant fights
The band became family
You were so far away
Another night’s concert
A hollow end to the day
Thinking of you
Dreaming of home
Glory feels empty
When you are alone
But I couldn’t quit
Addicted to fame
Blinded by pride
Couldn’t feel your pain
You begged me come home
Said I will one day soon
But more cities called
And I always found room
My mind was out there
When our little one passed
You needed to be first
But I made you feel last
Was I thinking of you
Was I dreaming of home
Why go back on the road
Leaving you all alone
Now you too are gone
So blind couldn’t see
I was writing of love
That now never will be
