Never Out of Sight

I see you in the sunlight, you are never out of sight.
A slight remembrance of you as the clouds pass by.
Your footsteps are chiseled on the earth; I can never fill them.
Your arms wrapped in the Africa's trees,
catching each one of us as we fall.
My roots are deeply planted, grown from HIS Dirt.
You dream the same dream as I do now.
Your shadow follows me in each one of them.
You know of my hopes; they are yours; you kept them for me;
knowing that I will need them.
Looking for blessings in each passing day; I will follow your ways.
I hear you say "thank you Lord,
but these weary bones need rest.
You rested, allowing me to gain strength for another day.
I look for you, I see you in the sunlight as the clouds pass by.
Telling me, "I am never out of sight".
