Never Lost Again
Looking back on life knowing all the wrong that I've done
For so long I was numb
No longer with ya I miss ya, how could I ever forget ya, you were always there for me so in sharing my story I made sure I painted pictures through scriptures in every song that I've sung
Every letter I wrote, whether it be a poem or a rap
Learned this game is cutthroat, them closest to you be the first to crack & leave you known as a stat
Hated by many, frowned upon by plenty, hell I was ahead of myself & for that I was disowned that's a fact
But I turned that hate into hunger, bet on myself when I wagered my numbers, packed my stats & now I react so when they attack I attack back
I got closer with God & kept the devil at bay
Once a rebel in my ways now I strategize my game in every level that I play
I've been damaged beyond repair with disadvantages that were clear
I asked Jesus to take the wheel but he told me to believe within my will, promised if I could break from the sin I would see greatness & win, a man amongst my peers no longer standing in fear when the cameras appear
I've been through some battles & I've had my fair share of losses & wins
Brought friends into battles which costed the loss of them friends
I've been double crossed by my friends
I've been down & out, colder than stone barely holding my own, I was on the brink of defeat couldn't think on my feet but I held it together & since than I ain't never lost again.
