Never Lose Hope

There on the craggy mountain
Rocks abounded full of moss
Dew made the way slippery
Climbing was difficult even without a cross.

Up high was a lovely arch
With words that urged for hope.
It was my destination
But the climbing was hard, steep was the slope.

I had made up my mind to try,
There was no other way to go
Yet the paths interlaced full of dew.
I fell a thousand times, but I had to know.

The going was tough,
I could not bear the thought.
That I was going to fail.
I had walked and climbed and all for naught.

I turned back and went down.
The going was easy now.
Life became better and full of fun.
I should have learned better and who cares anyhow.

Suddenly I came to a large ferocious river.
A river of no return. I trembled in fear
For then I realized I was a fool.
Yet all around were demons pushing me from the rear.

A soft voice called my name
”You're still in time, turn back.”
So I returned to my arduous climb
It was harder now but knew that was my real track.

Let us hope that when one door closes, another shall open ! The journey is never smooth ! We have no choice, but to complete the journey ! Of the forking paths, choose the easier one is the only option ! A complex write as complex as life itself.....

You follow your mind and your heart my friend, demons might have been pushing you into the river but your guardian angel was sitting on your shoulder and his love for you made you turn back and try the hard way all over again. Great message Victor. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer

A climb in the right direction is always worth the effort. We'll stumble many times, and demons will urge us to give up, but they must be ignored. Terrific edifying verses, Victor.

You have penned an inspirational poem. Sense organs will push us from rear, try to stop, but we must go on until we reach our goal. That's the only way. Have a great day ahead. Take care Rama
