Never Look Back

When her thoughts are her own She often thinks Maybe I could have been She remembers being so young and innocent As she looks into the past In the golden years of life She says I could have been Wife and Mother She chose to be She still looks back and says Maybe I could have been She holds the tears inside Turns and walks away Her heart says softly Never look back
