Never Forget
The dust had settled,
Leaving nothing but sorrow
Accompanied only by a terrifying emptiness.
Lights flashed,
The people held their breath.
The sky weeped,
It’s darkened clouds screaming out in a wretched storm,
Shaking the country to it’s fragile core.
Never to be erased,
This day shall forever be etched into this country’s history.
The day the entire world slowed came to a halt.
Never forget that day,
Never forget that perfect September morning,
Never forget the horrible day
The towers came tumbling down.
