Never Forget

Into the burning infernos they charged With valor and courage and hearts enlarged Without concern for the risks ahead They ventured to save other lives instead New York’s bravest and finest pros Reacting valiantly in terror’s throes As a nation looked on in shocked surprise Our heroes became angels before our eyes The sacrifice that their families made Never in this lifetime can be repaid But we can help them stay proud with no regret By ensuring that day we never forget

Wow Joe. My uncle was one of New York's finest, but died long before 9/11. Your tribute is stunningly sad. love, Kathy
