Never Ending Winter

A never ending winter snow piled to the sky Along my walk it is 4 feet high Other places it's even with my eyes But still more snow falls It just keep coming down I've shoveled my walk now 52 times and that's just in March I'm losing my mind I have friends in other states They say it looks like spring there But not Me and not here I've still got snow clean up to my ears To get to my mailbox I have to hop When will it end when will the cold and snow stop I remember spring and what fun it can be But this never ending winter continues to plague me So until spring arrives and the snow finally stops Through my yard like a bunny I'll continue to hop Inspired by poet Heidi Sands

A stinging review of a winter gone bad. The words are easy to relate to and the story is all too familiar, warranting a chuckle and a longing for spring. Good work! #7
