Never Easy

Never Easy

Never easy
Lose a loved one
After sixty precious years
Look at photos
Read her writings
Bring me often
Close to tears
Now she’s buried
At the chapel
Where we went
Made many friends
Now she has
No sufferings,
No pain.
Bible read at funeral
‘Asleep in Jesus.’
One day’s certain
Go I will
And join her
In that earth-dug
Holy bed
‘Asleep in Jesus.’
