Never Earned Big Dollars
Oh what a beautiful morning
The sun is shining bright
If they told me I won a million dollars
I couldn't exhibit more delight
It's one of those days, full of fun
Filled with happiness and joy
Just found out I'm the proud poppa
Of a bouncing baby boy
Sorry, just recalling what it was like
Back in my younger days
When everything was new and exciting
Life in it's opening phase
Oh to go back and experience it again
Wondrous days of my youth
Wait a minute, might want to reconsider
If you really want to know the truth
To go through all the good times again
Have to also go through the bad
Perhaps instead I'll forget about all that
And just appreciate what I had
Oh what a beautiful morning
The sun is shining bright
Never earned a big bunch of dollars
But happy at bedtime each night
