Never Been So Interested
Never Been So Interested

Never been so interested in what politicians think.
Since the turning of the century, we've gotten further in the drink.
There's no independent thinking; each party sings it's own sweet song.
Forget about the people, they're in the way, they don't belong.
The rich are getting richer; voting mostly goes their way.
The Super Packs just prove it; the rich don't throw their cash away.
The middle class has shrunken,; poor and needy on the rise.
Billionaires are so controlling; it's all something I despise.
Jobs are in the thousands, recruiters knocking at the door,
Too bad the place their visiting, is on some foreign shore.
Our infrastructure falls apart, roads and bridges everywhere,
From trucks owned by big business; further down in disrepair.
Politicians know what caused it; will not vote to tax the rich.
Would decrease their large donations; life would really be a *****
Could go on forever, money's what it's all about,
The few who have control of it, will never do without
We the people throw our hands up, wave the white flag in the air.
Where is all this trickle down that was preached would soon be there?
I think I know what happened, without further song and dance,
Somehow it fell into the pockets of our politicians' pants
The Constitution says the people are the high law of the land,
States that we are in control, if on majority we stand.
When we don't like what we're seeing, must change those things by vote.
Responsibility is on each person; have nothing else to say of note.
I feel like a politician. I've just told a little lie.
I'm adding just a little, and here's the reason why:
Learn of the individuals who run to represent.
Cast your vote if for the people; most of all the president.
