Never Again

The day when I'll be gone...
                                  Chilly winter wind all over...
                                         Body and soul...
                                    When my eyes will dip
                                          into darkness...
And lips will be dry as
                                          dead leaves...
That day I will wait no more.
No more will I care of
                                        your indifference.
                                            For, I know,
                                  in the chronicle of disgust,
                                       my love is in rust!
                                    But that day my heart
                                    will not hear your pray.
You will no more be able
                                           to love me.
                                        I'll be far away...
And no more will I answer your call...
                                           Never again.

wow, what a sad one this is. But I love the little rhymes in it (rust and disgust) and the imagery of lips dry as leaves. A good poem!
