Never
thought about it, not really,
it never seemed to matter
which of us first said
the words
revealing feelings deep inside -
thinking back now
the memory of when
is unclear
always appeared to be
it just was -
I loved you
You loved me
why question it now?
Never
could have been our reality
but thankfully
one or both said it
and there it was
the us together
forever
escaping the possibility
of never.
