Never-Land

Lay it out dissected star, Thy beauty marred seen from afar, That science has what's done to thee, Destroyed that flight, orb's fantasy. Where the mountains of the moon rise surging Up from shallow seas aspiring, And the circle of unending light Has left us in the dark affright. (Twil come back another night) Another day unfolding sight. Discover what you can you might! But the distance curved and bright You will never travel. (from DREAM-LAND with apologies to Mr. Poe)

Thank you sweet child for the comments. I'm new to this: telling people what I think of THEIR poetry. I've written since 1962 (publ since 64). I'll read more of your songs.
