The ancients knew the meaning of objects in dreams. Do we?

Brains beam back connections as dreams While sorting much data in streams But these mind fables Come with graphic labels Like symbols in Microsoft Teams

Karen, I truly believe that our experiences of each day generally get processed into long-term memory at night. Our sometime weird dream imagery tells a lot about where the memories get filed and with what they are associated. It's truly remarkable.

You always explore themes that make the reader pause and think. --But these mind fables Come with graphic labels--so well said, Duke!

That's a very generous comment Vijay. There's remarkable symbology contained within our dreams that mirrors the way our brains process and organize things. It's fun to think about really.

Daniel, I was hoping you would like this one. It's something I don't understand completely. We know we have to sleep and dream, but what happens during dream sleep is so special. It gives us some insight into how he brain works. The connections dreams reveal tell us a lot about how we think.

Duke, my friend, your exploration of the symbolism of objects in dreams and how interpretations have changed over time is a captivating topic. This Limerick explores dreams, symbols, technology, and contemporary culture's influence on our perception of dreams. By including a pun in the line "But these mind fables," dreams are cleverly compared to stories or tales from the mind.

SP, you are very perceptive as well as a very talented poet. I imagine the brain puts certain things in order while we are asleep--a biochemical thing. The folders and objects for specific kinds of memories that get accessed during that process turn out to be revealing in terms of how we organize or classify our experiences. It's quite a fascinating topic. Especially for people who have recurring dreams.
