Neptune Rising

The air perfumed with soggy hope
Once more my thoughts turn to you
That fine spring day we did elope
Neptune blushed a vivid blue
Releasing tulips, away we flew

The tulips make this spring poem. I love the use of mythology also - gives mystery. LOve, daver

A rush of hope for the dream that would come true. Love the elope part, does away with so much fuss and gets the job done! Sweet verse Jimbo! :)

Happy quintain you wrote James. Good luck in the contest. Better work the word spring into it. She says you must. Thank you for your kind words. Love, Joyce
