Nena's Car

Driving so fast and so far With the windows down Letting the winter wind leave for a day or two To bring in the shivery summer breezes. To many lipstick-stained smiles, Too many candied photos, Too many times I wish I could feel like this forever. But as parents ask questions, And wonder when we’re coming home. This feeling of uncertainty sinks to my stomach. As she drives the car back to our so-called homes, I remember to cherish all these times spent in Nena’s car.

It was'nt my car it was my Dads. And Fridays I would take her out on a date. It was the first car after getting my licence. But I wish Connie knew I was in love with her.
