~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
haunter of the woods,
woods whispering wishes,
like a heartbeat, still as starlight,
reflecting all the music…
oaks and birch, pine and laurel,
soothing barks,
ligneous laughter, a morning sun
silent as dew, drizzled on the heart,
freeing the feelings to believe,
blessing away the distress,
kindness curing each dread.
Haunter of the woods,
Poignant displays of rustling leaves,
Expressions in dancing verdures,
Music composed on winds of color,
Hues in magenta, mahogany, mysteries…
Bold flavors of yesterday, the past
Forever awake in my thoughts,
Dreaming… haunting and healing….
Aching autumn, hope
Singing a new song, a new love
Sweating in tones of amber
Delicious, delicate dreams hovering
Into the midnight, moonlight
Erasing the reflections of a past
When everywhere, there amid the darkest
Dread, there – lived the stillness,
Peace overflowing the night, so wonderous,
Like lavender skies on the September
Heart, enchanting, romantic….
Remembering the haunting,
Solitude feeling like the truth,
The only truth,
Insanity coming apart beneath the heavy
Gaze of prayers prayed by lives,
Amazed and praising, preparing…
Yes, preparing for the moments
When faith would take away the doubting,
Amid the crackling leaves,
The decaying despair, the darkness
Unaware that tomorrow would never consent,
To the testing of a lukewarm grace,
Never abide in the faith who couldn’t believe –
Believe beyond the shadow of a doubt,
Life is mostly a hill climbed by those who see,
Beyond the trees, into the woods
Where silence destroys the darkest dread
And serenity makes a way for grace,
Humbling even the richest, the most blessed,
Humbling so that, together with light,
They can feel the wonder of the woods,
The beautiful in the thickets…
They can see… the forest for the trees!
