Neither Half of Any Equation - -

Offerings all-inclusively controlled,

  consummating thirst's affectations

   eliciting truth's darkly responsive swallow

        of pretenses pseudo-poetic poison,

            flamboyantly feverish flavors from

gingered confections to Puffer fish toxins,

   testing temperature's comfort zones

      artless surrender of lucidity's aesthetic

yielded in winters' disenchantment - -

   discontented, smugly wrapped

         in tissue paper sweater's passion,

    fumes of moonlit intoxication's sips

       mid earthy disillusionment ticking,

ventured to inhale magical heady elixirs

       within fusions of distorted disdain,

glass was neither half of any equation

merely a containment for elusive sunrises

and hourglass sand trickling down on

timely castles built betwixt skies' hallucinations,

sucking life downhill like an absentminded cool trip

drunken in fury's quenched neurotic afterthought

Sounds like a difficult night Paloma, unmet expectations and disappointment. Love the line "glass was neither half of any equation merely a containment for elusive sunrises."

I find it intoxicating to be in such a state of mind, Paloma...a blend of highs and lows and undulating emotions. Trying to work out what time of day, or night, this work was inspired:) Regards ~ paul

" ventured to inhale magical heady elixirs" = what I'm talkin' 'bout. : ) This time of year, the sun doesn't shine much in the American midwest, so let's have a glass of the sun's stored concoctions. Paloma, you pull the reader through.

Laws were made to be broken, just don't tequila and drive. :)

Aaack! I missed my chance.... Unless there is no law against having a tequila sunrise in the afternoon.

"gingered confections to Puffer fish toxins" Where do you find these phrases, I don't even know what to say. This was a deep and dark collection of thoughts that seem to sting as I read them this morning. Sounds almost cataclysmic. I can feel the ground quaking under my feet. Your style just blows me away.
