Near
I know you left me,
But you're still around,
How can it be,
When you're in the ground.
I loved you more than anyone,
And you I really miss,
The time we had is done,
It ended without a kiss.
Once I thought I felt you touch,
Your cold hand on my face,
The warmth is what I miss so much,
I wish you weren't in that place.
I couldn't feel you anymore,
Since that first night,
You were standing in the door,
But something wasn't right.
I already knew I lost you,
Though you were right in front of me,
There was nothing I could do,
What happened was meant to be.
You will always be in my heart,
Your memory will always remain,
They can never tear that apart,
One day we will be together again.
