The honking of geese flying overhead,
the pop of pistol shrimp on the seabed
or the haunting, eerie call of a lune,
aren't manmade; they come from Nature instead.
The Earth resounds with such natural sounds;
a constant cacophony that surrounds,
and as each is like music to my soul
my appreciation for life abounds.
The croak of a frog or buzz of a bee
subconsciously imbues my soul with glee,
for all those sounds are extraordinary.
When I hear the drone of a hummingbird
or the screech of an eagle, there's no word
that explains their effect on my spirit;
or touches my heart the instant it's heard.
The pitter-patter of raindrops falling,
a moth flapping wings, or a crab crawling;
all form notes within Nature's rhapsody,
and my soul finds Her music enthralling.
