Nature's Harmonious Chorale
Before the Christmas season arrives
Three red cardinals swoop down ….
The first sits on top of a branch right
In the middle of a ten foot
Snow-covered pine tree;
Only to attract the rest
To join him in friendship.
The second cardinal
Secretly dashes by and
Mysteriously appears inches
Away from his first comrade;
Only to start up a conversation.
However, the third cardinal,
Stole the show by creating
A little song and dance
To establish the ambiance
For a special time of the year.
Seven vibrant blue jays
Began to tweet entertaining
The animals below,
Squirrels and rabbits started
To emerge from beneath
The dense green foliage.
Cardinals and blue jays
Bobbed their heads up and down
Repeatedly, and chirped
One after the other in harmony
To create a unique partnership.
It wasn’t until….
A group of deer and female does
Arrived on the scene, and were mesmerized
By this musical presentation, that
As they waited and listened contentedly,
To this spectacular masterpiece
Snowflakes began to trickle down….
The true meaning of Christmas
Is about love, companionship,
Peace and harmony.
