Nature's Gift
The venerable Himalayan hills stand tall and high
to play with white clouds up in the heavenly sky.
The view of snow-capped peaks meets one’s eye
if mysterious mist the sun is able to soak and dry.
The green sylvan slopes and valleys do exemplify
the virgin splendor of nature so keen to multiply.
tranquility that it bestows if taken in by and by
has divine powers for wandering souls to detoxify.
Ancient temples near sources of holy rivers imply
sacred bond between man and god none can deny.
Thus, the believers, despite tough conditions defy
all odds and scale these lofty mountains to purify.
Recent natural calamities in Himalayas signify
disturbing nature for development will not fly.
