Nature's Daughter
Birds start to celebrate the first day
a gradual warmth announces spring.
And they praise the blessings sent their way,
expressed through the melodies they sing.
Spring gathers teardrops the mist has shed,
gleaning vapors in which dreams get spun.
And drips dewdrops on a silken web
or a sweet rose caressed by the sun.
Her fragrance rides upon a brisk breeze,
soft as a smile on a baby's lips.
And tending to hummingbirds and bees,
She doles out nectar in tiny sips.
Radiant as moonbeams on water
She's a refreshing breath of fresh air.
And, as befitting Nature's daughter,
wildlife flourishes under her care.
