Nature's Child
Katrina was a lonely child
Who just couldn’t fit in
All by herself she’d play alone
And just begin to spin
To hide rejection, to forget
Kept going until dizzy
To fill the empty hole through her
Confusion kept her busy
Her toys would fly and make a mess
She wouldn’t stop to care
Cause if she did her soul just might
Expose her naked stare
They teased her then chased her away
And even though she’d try
To keep her secret locked inside
She’d run away and cry
In her abode, unknowingly
Her mother just awoke
From her sweet slumber, suddenly
She almost too did choke
On tears pushed up into her throat
And cause her eyes to burn
Enraged by a daughter’s heartache
She too would start to turn
And seek out those who brought this on
Both ladies now been scorned
Revenge to avenge and protect her own
A powerless wrath adorned
