Nature Decorates a Tree

Nature Decorates a Tree In the dead of winter, a beautiful pine tree Grows in the middle of a field Full of pine scent and pinecones With a dried pine needle bib Abandoned spider webs Gently blown by the wind Become thin, long, strands of spider silk garland Wrapping around the tree Cardinals and blue jays seeking shelter from the cold Rest upon its branches and fluff their feathers Looking twice their size Resembling color orbs of red and blue Snow begins to fall Covering its branches Icicles begin to form Giving it a lustrous full look In the morning, the tree “lights up” As the snow and icicles sparkle in the sun rays At night, it glows a bluish winter white In the moonlight
