National Pride

Yes, we were forced into national pride,
Singing the anthem at assembly time,
Little patriots to the core,
God saved something in times of yore!

Little patriots learn to become grown up patriots so I think this is a psychologically sound poem.

I like this. Very much. It's kind of cheeky, to my taste. Too, I'm a northern neighbour, so American patriotism a bit of a curiosity. xomo
