Narcissistic Boors

Narcissistic boors can be so off-putting
Always eagerly saying, "Look at me!
I am the smartest, best-looking specimen
On the entire planet, you can plainly see.

I am the strongest, most talented person
I will be the first, and I'll let you know it.
And only those people who understand
Can wallow with me in my bullsh**t.

I welcome them into my private community
Where we will become the best of friends,
Should they have an opinion or question me
That's where our coveted friendship ends."

Once in the spotlight they can't get enough
They will lie, cheat, and steal to keep it,
But as time goes by their antics grow thin
Their disappearance doesn't upset me a bit.

You can try talking therapies but I came to the conclusion that you need to focus on supporting and looking after those around them more. Your poem, Milt, has much relevance to the world right now. It is linguistically related to 'bor' in Hebrew, which means an 'empty pit.' The Sages point out: 'Eyn boor y'rey chet,' which means that a boor (an empty pit) does not fear sin...
