Nap Upon Nap
I do not want to use the dreaded d-word
Because I don’t think it is that
But all I want to do frankly
Is nap, nap, nap, nap, nap.
My state of mind is fogged and smack
Allergic cough, right ear is clogged. Hack. Hack. Hack.
Cannot get my breath. An elephant sits on my chest.
Ack! Ack! Ack!
High pollen count bringing spring swiftly back.
Early this year, on a faster track
Hope it is not on the CV nineteen rack.
I do not think it is depression.
I do not want to think that. But I am going back to take another nap.
