Naming a Poem Type

Ricky was the first to sell piles of wood
He named them ricks, (stuck on himself somewhat)
Also as many whole limbs as he could
Limbs were cheaper, not needing to be cut

A new poem type, a fellow would make
But found naming it, his most daunting task
By chance passed Ricky on a stroll he'd take
And "Limb or rick?", he would hear Ricky ask!

Very good Pat. I love a good chuckle. I would have classified this poem as "Light Poetry". It sure enlightened me! Keep them coming!

Thanks Dean. Glad you liked it. You make a good point, and the pic doe's have a light in it!!! I guess I'm a little better at concocting imaginary origins than naming them!!............80)

G'day Pat … how in the dickens did you ever come up with this theory. I'm shaking my head and chuckling - thanks Pat - Lindsay

Obsessively counting syllables in my head came out as limb or rick! 1,2 3. Hmmmmm......interesting maybe that could be a poem. Inside my head is a scary place to be!!.........80)
