Names

As I sit here with many thoughts and questions in my mind
I cast long glances over this land of endless rock and sand
Is there a reason to this? This place where I am, the why,
It is so different, so indifferent, it has no care for me
Why should it? I do not belong here, in right or life
If I die here my name will not matter
To this land of endless rock and sand
