Aware of my nakedness Aware of the drives Why must I choose stories To describe my irreconcilable feelings inside Is it because of the efforts Required to discern proof Or fearing the inevitable My impermanence – the harsh reality of the truth The complexities of consciousness A conundrum for an instinctual beast that can surmise Awareness is necessary For logic and reason to thrive It is in this very moment Sitting here – in all of my unease Accepting my predicament Choose living – it minimizes the disease Disease? The disease of fear Anxiety – embarrassment - and shame It’s the toxic herd environment that creates social disdain In all of our nakedness We are now free from the herd Our new frame of reference We understand the automatic thoughts – the unspoken internal words A true liberation occurs Recognition – perception – it’s all in our mind In all of our nakedness Meaning – purpose – it’s been there - all the time
