To any suffering man who has turned to guns for pleasure, try some patient tenderness and know rejection (like a jam) can happen... and don't point that thing unless you're ready to use it.

There once was a man who loved guns With women he hit no home runs He'd whip out his round And shoot it outbound While wishing to target their buns

Good one, Duke. Gotta watch out for those men who love to whip out things and point them! Janice

Clever and cheeky, Duke! Loved the witty rhyme and the message behind the humor — a fun reminder to handle life (and guns) with care.

Hi Rowena. Yes, there is a bright side and a dark side to how we handle our power and things that give us control over others. Showing restraint is a well-known sign of wisdom. We also have a segment of our male population that have been addicted to their guns and phones. They need some help figuring out how what to do and to relate to say the least. Hope you are well and smiles!!

Sara, that is the ultimate complement, and I thank you profusely! I'm always laughing and will try to contain myself, though my evil limerick writing side sometimes escapes. Smiles!!!

Wow! that’s quite a piece of work Duke, a mean machine, and I’m not talking about the gun either, of course I’m talking about your brilliant Limerick; Although something else is quite distracting me, just wish I could put my finger on it, lol! Cheers David

David, I love your sense of humor. There's more here than meets the eye. I was thinking people have all kinds of ways to avoid the issue in front of them. Society is quite a source of amusement although I think many people are in pain and need help as well. Perhaps you, me, and others will come up with a recipe that fixes it all!!! We just have to get someone to listen. That seems unlikely!! Smiles!

Oy! ... What can I add here? Well, I notice that 'guns' spelled in reverse is 'snug' -- which describes well the fit of the pants over the 'buns' of the young lady in the pic you selected for this poem... Limericks, Laughter and Levity, Gershon

Gershon, glad you had a chance to look and read. I was thinking that some men have no idea how to relate to others socially. I once was speaking with a military officer candidate who was assigned to observe a practice fighter jet attack on a target with a missile. He reported back, "it was better than sex." That really scared me. Many people use all sorts of things as a subsitute for socialization. Smiles!!
